Yeah, well that didn’t work out as well as we would have liked, and there were too many times that we indulged and weren’t even that hungry. You know what happens when you eat too much sugar. You may feel tired and bloated, not to mention the number on your scale going sky-high.
Pretty soon you have two separate areas of your closet. One half for the clothes you can currently wear, and the other for things that no longer fit, but could be back in circulation if you get your act together.
Here are four ways to determine if you’re addicted to sugar:
You Feel You Have to Binge
You buy a bag of your favorite candy, and you tell yourself you’ll eat just a small portion, but it is so good you end up eating the whole bag.
You Have a Sugar Hangover
It’s not that hard to eat too much sugar. If you’re active on the social scene, it seems like there is always a dinner or party to attend. More times than not, dessert will be served, and you don’t want to stick out like a sore thumb by depriving yourself. You’ll know you have a sugar hangover, if you are gassy, bloated, very tired, or your head is pounding.
Daily Diet Contains More Than 30 Grams of Sugar
It’s amazing how many foods contain added sugar. Foods such as soups, yogurt, fruit juice, barbecue sauce, and frozen meals have been pumped full of sugar to make them more appealing to the customer.
You Eat When You’re Not Hungry
I have the perfect example for this one. When I worked in an office, donuts were frequently brought in as a treat. Who can resist a fresh, warm donut? I had already eaten a full breakfast, but nothing was going to stop me from enjoying that yummy donut. Birthday cakes would occasionally show up, and once again, I was ready to eat my share.
This is where hypnosis can give you more willpower to stick to a healthy eating plan. This doesn’t mean you can never have another dessert, but you can make smarter choices. Best of all, you’ll feel more energetic and ready to tackle the day.
